Here's a painful truth. I definitely see (my) utter exhaustion as a point to aim for. Wtf is wrong with me?!!!!

I would never, ever expect it from anyone else. But somehow, unless I'm thrashing myself until I explode/cry, I consider myself to be not quite making enough effort. Totally irrational. And also true.

This week I'm calling that attitude out for the nonsense it is. I'm having a few days space. I'll still answer enquiries, and send out stock as and when, but please understand if it takes me a tiny bit longer to get back to you. I'm hoping to be walking, sleeping, or deep in Netflix.

It's been a busy Friday in Mayflower land. I've moved back to my studio (well hello peace and quiet 😉) and met up for a fab rambly natter and walk with lovely Michelle @buttercupjewellery. Socially distanced (and no doubt freezing) drinks with neighbours later to round this rather nice Friday off.

I feel like I've been standing right in front of a

I feel like I've been standing right in front of a really high wall for a while.
.
Everything seemed to be on the other side - focus, positivity, luck, creativity. The wall was too high to climb, too wide to go round, too solid to push over.
.
I think there are a few cracks starting to show in that wall. I'm trying to help widen those cracks - some days more effectively than others.
.
A very good friend suggested a two-or-three-times-a-day therapy of sketching. No pressure, no aims. Just sketching for the sake of it. Today is day three. I'm already finding that I'm longing for the next session. Especially as they come with a cup of tea and a sit down.
.
Yesterday, I sat in the garden and sketched as the birds sang. Today I've revisited photos from a joyous holiday in Whitby, back when corona was still a beer. I wonder where I'll be later this afternoon.....
