Do you remember the tennis bracelet...? The blood (literally), sweat and tears that went into creating thirty-odd links and joining them seamlessly together?

I made the bracelet, then decided on a whim that actually I liked the idea of a necklace better, so streamlined the links into this tactile pendant. When the stones are set it'll be a stunner. 💎💎

I'm nearly ready to submit my term 2 projects for my @jewellersacademy Diploma in Fine Jewellery, which this is part of. It's so hard not to keep seeing little bits I'd like to re-do, or tweak, but I have to stop somewhere......

This lovely ring is a remodel for Jayne - we reused a band she had made at a workshop and added a stone from an unworn pendant. A reticulated, textured surface and a high shine finish on the setting completes the organic-meets-high polish look.

Back to my own bench tomorrow for a bit of stone setting and my term 2 meeting with @michael.milloy. I'm really excited to chat through my plans for my final project with Michael. I just want to get on with it! Only the small matter of the rest of term 2, two operations and term 3 to negotiate....🤷🏼‍♀️

A few moments of peace before workshop number one of the week.

Am I the only one who wakes up on a Monday feeling like I have a list a mile long of things to complete? I have a knot of tension in my chest until I can start ticking things off. It's not pleasant and I wish I could relax a bit more.

This is my mum. Just before Christmas she broke her leg really badly.

Yesterday she finally came home from hospital. She was well looked after, but we're glad she's back.

It's been a tough few weeks, and she's got a long way to go, but at least we can visit her now.

Go and give your loved ones a squeeze. You never know when that option won't be there. ❤️
