Interesting images from the 'Scale' exhibition at the Museum of Making @derbymuseums. These pictures only show a small part of the real images. I loved them all.

The exhibition really made me focus on the beauty of detail, the small scale joys that can be found when we look harder.
.
There are parallels here to my work, of course, to the pleasure of scale and detail in handmade and bespoke jewellery. But mostly, I just think they are fun.
.
PS yes I took my teenagers, and no, we are not the Waltons. One tried to look interested, one walked at speed, pausing only to note that there were no mini-eggs in the gift shop.

Have you heard of T-Levels? 🤔

No? I hadn't either, until I got involved with the excellent people at @ncfe who are working hard to bring this new qualification to life. It's so exciting - the two-year T Level in Craft and Design involves specialisms in ceramics, furniture, textiles and - of course - jewellery. The qualification is a post-GCSE option and believe me, if I wasn't about thirty years too old, I'd do it for sure!
