In the UK, all silver jewellery over 7.78g, and gold over 1g, is legally required to be hallmarked. Jewellers are not permitted to hallmark their own pieces – they must be tested for purity and marked individually by one of four UK Assay Offices. Hallmarked jewellery is your assurance that quality materials have been used to create your piece of jewellery.

Due to hallmarking legislation, jewellery that requires hallmarking will take 2-4 weeks to complete.

Mayflower Bespoke Jewellery is hallmarked with my own sponsor mark by the Assay Office in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
